Hi there, I’m Jéla, the founder of The Glowthetician, a skin and wax based studio based in Gurnee, Illinois. Growing up, I was always intrigued with everything beauty and wellness and myself struggled with acne which ended up affecting my confidence. My personal journey to achieving clear and radiant skin sparked my passion for esthetics.

After completing my education at Debutantes Cosmetology and Nail Technology, I started my professional journey as a wax specialist at European Wax Center. There, I honed my skills in speed waxing and gained valuable experience in the esthetics industry. However, after having my son, I realized the need for more flexibility in my schedule while continuing to pursue my passion. That's when I decided to launch The Glowthetician, my very own esthetics business aimed at providing high-quality services with a personalized touch.
